Bit Bit is meeting Jellyfish to explore Gardens by the Bay, and will be preparing dinner to bring there and have dinner in the gardens. Since it was a last minute decision, Bit Bit had to prepare dinner fast. Luckily, Bit Bit bought a yellow capsicum and szechuan vegetable the day before, so the dinner will be stir-fried beansprouts with yellow capsicum, szechuan vegetable and tomato.
This dish took about 30 minutes to finish cooking, including preparation of ingredients.
Things that Bit Bit found out about stir-fried tau gey with yellow capsicum, szechuan vegetable and tomato:
- When adding szechuan vegetable into dishes, less salt or soy sauce can be added, since szechuan vegetable is already salty.
- Stir frying yellow capsicum, szechuan vegetables and tomato with beansprouts with let the beansprouts absorb the sweetness of the capsicum, the spicy saltiness of the szechuan vegetable and the sourness of the tomato. This is the reason why this dish is one of Bit Bit's favourite stir-fried vegetable dishes.
- This dish is healthy and full of vitamins.
- One can also add noodles and fry together with this dish, to make it a noodle dish. Bit Bit added some sapo mee suah (baked yellow noodles) and light soy sauce to the leftovers and fry them for a while. It turned out yummy too.
